OUR STORY

The Milford Lodge, as it was originally known, was built in the late 1800s by George John Ingram Cotton – a dental surgeon with the British Army in India – whose patients included Winston Churchill and Rudyard Kipling.

Bought in the mid-1900s by the current owners, Milford was used for years by the family and close friends as a holiday home, a place to regroup, a cool retreat away from the heat and chaos of Madras, and a space from which to reconnect with their roots as planters.
